Altastenberg am Kahlen Asten is the highest winter sports resort in the Hochsauerland. The Westfalenhang I in particular is one of the most famous ski slopes in the region. Immediately next to it is the only recognized FIS race track in the Sauerland with a 40% incline. The Westfalenhang II and the Brüchetalhang offer interesting intermediate runs.
