Lying in a sunny basin, surrounded by beautiful mountains with peaks over 3000 meters, Bardonecchia is one of the most beautiful corners of the western Alps. Bardonecchia has been a famous ski resort since the early 1900s and was the venue for the snowboarding competitions of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. It is a true paradise for all skiers with its perfectly groomed slopes, thanks also to a powerful and modern snowmaking system that covers 50% of the area. Bardonecchia is also an ideal destination for families, easily accessible by train and car, just 90 km from Turin, along the Paris-Rome railway line. Bardonecchia has 23 ski lifts and 46 ski slopes for a total of 100 km of skiable area. Both beginners and experienced skiers will find their happiness in this beautiful Piedmontese resort.
