Zoldo Alto is a municipality located on a plateau covered by large coniferous forests, in Val Zoldana. The ski resort is part of the largest ski area in Veneto, the Skicivetta, which connects the ski resorts of Zoldo, Alleghe, Selva di Cadore. In Zoldo skiers can enjoy themselves on 35 km of alpine ski slopes; there are 14 slopes, 2 of which are difficult (the black Foppe is the site of the Women's World Cup slalom and giant slalom races), 7 intermediate and 5 easy. The kilometers of slopes become 80 in the ski area around the Civetta group and 1200 in the entire Dolomiti Superski ski area. It is also possible to ski at night for 5 km, on the red Cristelin slope, and on the black Foppe, served by the cableway "Pian del Crep" and the chairlift "Cristelin". They open on Fridays and Saturdays in December and every evening during the Christmas period. There are 11 lifts in Val di Zoldo; the Delle Coste chairlift connects the Zoldo area with the Palavera area where 1 chairlift and 1 skilifit go up 1 red and 4 blue slopes. The Pian del Crep gondola starts from the town of Pecol at an altitude of 1388 m and arrives near Crep de Pecol at an altitude of 1760 m; 4 chairlifts (the Cristelin chairlift also serves the well-equipped snowpark of Zoldo Alto, which is lit up until late at night), a manovia in the school field and 3 ski lifts complete the offer of the ski resort. In the entire Skicivetta area, 23 modern lifts and 4 connecting ski buses serve the ski area. For cross-country skiers, there are 10 km of trails: 1.5 km of easy trails in Mareson di Zoldo Alto (0437 789295), 6 km of medium trails in Pralongo di Forno di Zoldo (0437 787349), and 2.2 km of easy trails in Campo di Forno di Zoldo that are illuminated at night. For the little ones, the Ice Village snow park is located at the start of the lifts in the Palma area, at the entrance to the village (0422 822924), while the snow kindergarten is located at Pian del Crep (0347 788827). An alternative skiing option for expert and intermediate skiers is the Great War Tour, which winds around Col di Lana, under the walls of the most beautiful Dolomite peaks, from Civetta (3220 m) and Pelmo (3168 m) to Marmolada.
