At about 3 km from the town of Rivisondoli there are the ski facilities of Rivisondoli - Monte Pratello. It is one of the most important ski resorts in Abruzzo, located east of the Plateau of the Five Miles, on the Prato plateau. It covers an area that goes from 1390 meters at the base of the lifts to 2056 meters of Monte Pratello. It is equipped with 10 lifts, including a hexapost gondola with automatic coupling, which serve 35 km of slopes, 26 km for alpine skiing, of varying difficulty: from the school field to those approved for national and international competitions. The latter are connected with the 67 km of slopes of Pizzalto and Aremogna di Roccaraso with which the Pratello facilities create a carousel of 110 km of perfectly equipped slopes for all levels of difficulty. The Monte Pratello -Direttissima slope is a beautiful and interesting black slope 2100 meters long.
If you buy the Alto Sangro ski pass, you can also ski on the slopes of Roccaraso, Pescocostanzo and Pescasseroli. On Monte Pratello, snowboarders will find a red and a blue slope that can be lifted by the Pratelletto ski lift and 2 red slopes with the four-seater chairlift Vallone Crete Rosse, while freeriders will find excitement in the steep and long couloirs, with a wide range of choices.
