The Patscherkofel has always played a big role in the history of ski racing: it was the venue of Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976, and in the 1998/99 season Austria enjoyed its greatest success in the history of Super G world cup races, with 9 Austrian athletes among the top ten.
The ski area offers slopes for skiers of all experience levels and a magnificent view over Innsbruck, Stubaital and the Inn valley.
