The Minschuns ski region in Val Müstair is a small yet superb destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The high altitude ski region (2,000 - 2,700 m) features three T-bar lifts that transport skiers and snowboarders to a variety of downhill runs above the treeline. Waiting times for the ski lifts are virtually non-existent and Minschuns is most popular among families with children. In October 2010, UNESCO named Val Müstair and the neighbouring Swiss National Park the ‘UNESCO Biosfera Engiadina Val Müstair’ – a special title that reflects the region’s sustainable relationship with nature.
