Kronplatz (or Plan de Corones) is undoubtedly the Italian ski area with the most modern and comfortable facilities: many cable cars, also with intermediate stops, and 4 and 6-seater covered chairlifts with automatic coupling. The ski area has 115 km of alpine ski runs that guarantee a great variety of panoramas on the long descents to the valley in three directions and the wide sunny plateau located on the summit at 2275 meters. There are 5 black runs: Sylvester, Hernegg, Pre da Peres, Erta and Piculin. The most famous is certainly the Sylvester that with breathtaking walls leads us up to Brunico, starting from the summit. There are 4 slopes for night skiing: the Korer on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the Cianross on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Terento on Thursdays, the Guggenberg on Wednesdays; the first 2 can also be used as night toboggan runs. During the day you can also have fun on the numerous toboggan runs. The Snowpark Kronplatz is located between the slopes Belvedere and Plateau. To reach it, just take the Belvedere cable car and have fun on the Easy Line, the Medium Rail Line or the Medium Kickerline. The Korer Park is located in the valley station and is open twice a week also in the evening. The price of the ski pass is in line with the other resorts of the Dolomiti Superski area to which it belongs, despite the huge investments for the facilities. The slopes are also very well maintained and equipped with a powerful snowmaking system. The holiday region Plan de Corones extends from the west of Val Pusteria through Valle Aurina to Valle Anterselva and Val Casies and reaches Val Badia in the south.
