Elbrus is known to be not only the highest mountain in Russia, but also in Europe. It used to be one of the largest volcano on Earth. The best here is that you can ski all year around: the snow cover is deep enough for the whole year. All the slopes have a 35 km lenght, the longest one - Azau - is 2500 m long.
