Montecampione is a medium-sized ski resort located in the middle of Val Camonica, on the Lombard Prealps. From Montecampione you can see Lake Iseo! There are 3 starting points to access the slopes of the ski area: Montecampione 1200, Prato Secondino 1400, Plan 1800. The choice of connecting the three villages (Alpiaz, Montecampione and Prato Secondino) in order to guarantee a fair number of slopes was particularly shrewd. The 30 km of alpine ski runs wind between 1200 and 2000 meters of Dosso Beccherie. Despite the fact that the altitude of the slopes is not too high, there are no particularly dense woods except in the area below the Monte Corniolo chairlift. There you can find the most exciting slopes. Not to be missed are runway 1 (Fodestal), runway 4 (direct) and runway 16 served by the Monte Splaza chairlift. The ski lifts start from the residential complexes, so no car travel is necessary. For those who love snowmobiles, there are suitable tracks at an altitude of 1800 meters. Walks with snowshoes are also organized. Montecampione, besides skiing, offers many activities: ice-skating, indoor swimming pool, equipped sports hall, stores, numerous restaurants, bars, pizzerias, a 400-seat cinema and a disco able to make more than 500 young people dance. It should also be remembered that Montecampione is not far from Milan, Bergamo and Brescia and this makes it particularly interesting for a day on the snow. It is also one of the ski resorts that can be reached by public transportation in the integrated Trenord train + shuttle + skipass project.
