Only 30 minutes from the Brenner freeway (Bolzano Sud exit), San Martino is a small, modern ski resort with a 6-seater gondola lift, a modern 4-seater detachable chairlift with wind protection and two ski lifts serving 14 kilometers of downhill ski runs of all levels of difficulty in the Reinswald ski area.
A highlight is the Pichlberg-Plankenhorn run, which leads from the "Sattele" at 2460 m down to the valley station at 1570 m: 3.7 kilometers with a difference in altitude of 900 m. On the Plankenhorn slope, served by the San Martino gondola lift, is the Sunpark Reinswald, consisting of 2 lines, Medium and Easy. The "Jochpiste" is a technical and scenic black slope that runs from the "Sattele" at 2470 m to the "Pfnatsch-Alm" for 1.5 km in length and 400 m in altitude difference; one section of the slope even has a 58% gradient and hosts the European Cup races.
As an alternative to skiing, you can toboggan on South Tyrol's longest toboggan run, the Reinswalder Wiesn, which is 4.5 km long, or on the 700-meter long Sunnolm toboggan run. You can also enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides and horseback riding in the deep snow.
