There are plenty of tourist attractions and more in Biały Dunajec. Parents with children can visit the Podhalańskie Thermal Baths, fishing enthusiasts can head to the Biały Dunajec River, and those who love skiing or snowboarding can enjoy the ski lifts and slopes. There is also a cross-country skiing station dedicated to cross-country skiers and several interesting bike paths. The offer is complemented by highlander-style taverns serving regional cuisine, as well as cyclical and occasional events.
The Podhalańskie Thermal Baths offer visitors the opportunity to take therapeutic baths in thermal waters, both for recreational purposes for families and for people requiring rehabilitation or convalescence after serious illnesses and treatments. Visitors have access to four pools filled with highly mineralized thermal water from the IG1 borehole operated by PEC Geotermia Podhalańska. The total water surface area in the Podhalańskie Thermal Baths is 970 square meters, and the water temperature is maintained between 30 and 38 degrees Celsius. The pools are divided into two indoor and two outdoor ones, allowing bathing even in negative temperatures. Moreover, they offer a view of the nearby mountains. The pools are equipped with modern hydro-massage devices such as water whips, water jets, underwater geysers, massage benches, and neck and shoulder massage devices with both wide and narrow water streams. The water contains components such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and sulfur. Thanks to these elements, the baths positively affect, among others, combating obesity and overweight, blood circulation problems, and hypertension. Besides thermal pool baths, visitors can also enjoy a sauna area, foot massages, sound therapy, ice generator, and a cooling barrel. So, a visit to the Podhalańskie Thermal Baths is worth considering, even for a short stay in Biały Dunajec.
However, the village is famous not only for its proximity to the Podhalańskie Thermal Baths but also for its convenient conditions for skiers. The "Toko-Land" ski resort operates here, offering a 750-meter long T-bar lift and an elevation difference of 130 meters. The total length of the downhill slope is 1000 meters. The slope conditions are good as it is continuously illuminated and additionally artificially snowed when needed, with groomed slopes. Two more ski resorts are located in Gliczarów Górny and Gliczarów Dolny.
Indoor sports enthusiasts will also find something for themselves. Biały Dunajec has a sports hall built-in 2006. The hall is located next to Primary School and Gymnasium No. 1. Its equipment allows playing basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, handball, and tennis. The hall is 38 meters long, 25 meters wide, and its height is 16.5 meters. The sports hall can also be exclusively used upon prior reservation. For this purpose, one should contact the Municipal Office.
Biały Dunajec also hosts the Parade Gazdowska (Peasant Parade) every year. This cultural and sports event is also characteristic of the surrounding municipalities in Podhale. It takes place on February 20th, in the Gile neighborhood, which is located in close proximity to the Podhalańskie Thermal Baths. The event is organized by GOK Biały Dunajec, Volunteer Fire Brigades, and the Municipal Office. The event begins with a solemn procession of horse-drawn carriages driven by highlanders in traditional folk costumes. The carriages consist of traditional highlander sleds called "kumoterkas". The Parade Gazdowska includes three competitions: kumoterek races, small two-seater traditional highlander sled races; skiring, which is a skier pulled by a horse with a rider, and ski-skiring, which is a skier pulled by a horse without a rider.
Tourists visiting Biały Dunajec in the summer may also have a chance to witness the Wybory Nośwarniyjsyj Górolecki (Highlander Woman of the Year) competition, which takes place within the Tatra Wici festival. Girls from all over Podhale compete in various categories related to daily and festive activities. The first group includes tasks such as making the bed, milking cows, or arranging haycocks. The second group of competitions includes lacing corsets and highlander boots, singing, dancing, and a knowledge contest about the region. The goal of the competition is to popularize and promote the region. The event is also accompanied by numerous concerts of folk music and folk dance performances.
In Biały Dunajec, other events are also organized, such as Wielkanocna Kosołecka (Easter Kosołecka), Majówka Wędkarska (May Fishing Weekend), Dzień Pstrąga (Trout Day), Dunajeckie Granie (Dunajecki Music Festival), Festyn Gliczarowski (Gliczarów Festival), Papal Festival, and the Young Toniec Music Contest.
